A group of similar species living in a particular habitat make up a population. A community is made up of all the populations of organisms living and interacting with each other in a particular habitat. As people have a great ability to alter the balance of ecosystems, they must consider the effects of their actions. Ecosystem concerns the individual organism, the populations, the entire communities, the management and conservation of habitats, and the consequences and control of pollution.
